Movie 185/1001 ~ The Lion King

This is another one of those movies that I watched as a youngster, but wanted to rewatch as an adult to better appreciate it. Made in 1994, the Lion King has been one of Disney's most popular animated films to date. This film has the voice talents of many famous actors including James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Matthew Broderick, Whoopi Goldberg, Rowan Atkinson, and many more. The story revolves around Simba, the heir to the lion throne. Simba can't wait to be king, but his wicked uncle Scar has other plans. Elton John performed and wrote several of the songs in the film, and all of the tunes are well written and quite catchy. All in all, the film was still very enjoyable, even as a 'mature' adult like myself. A very decent movie.
