Movie 171/1001 ~ Singin' in the Rain

WELL, I've finally seen the Gene Kelly & Debbie Reynolds classic film Singin' in the Rain. I enjoyed it, but musicals in this style don't usually turn my proverbial crank. I thought there were too many random & pointless musical numbers, and the whole thing seemed a little too wholesome. I did however LOVE Jean Hagen's Lina Lamont character! Its an outrage that she didn't get an Oscar! Also great was the song Good Morning, Good Morning (reused in the popular Viagra commercials). Other notable tunes include Make 'Em Laugh & - obviously - Singin' In The Rain.
