Movie 172/1001 ~ Children of a Lesser God

Children of a Lesser God is a movie starring John Hurt and Marlee Matlin. It is a story about a man who teaches deaf students how to communicate with people through speech. He move to a new town to teach where he meets a deaf woman and romance ensues.It is a heart-warming tale, but I don't really care for this genre of movie. The movie was well done and received a worthy Oscar, but I can't really say I'd like to watch it again. For me, the really interesting part was watching all of the sign language.
